This multi-storey development required complete internal plastering and ceiling works across both residential and commercial tenancies.
Our Approach
This multi-storey development required complete internal plastering and ceiling works across both residential and commercial tenancies. A1 Interiors delivered high-performance plasterboard wall linings, feature ceilings, bulkheads, and detailed set-outs to meet architectural and acoustic requirements throughout.
Our scope included: – Framing and sheeting of internal walls and ceilings – Precision flushing and setting of joints – Installation of feature curved bulkheads and raked ceilings – High-level finishes in wet areas and common zones – Coordination with services and fit-out trades in a tight access environment
Project Challenges & Solutions:
- Tight Site Access & Coastal Conditions
Located on the busy Gold Coast Highway and only metres from the beach, the project faced logistical restrictions for materials delivery and storage. To overcome this, we adopted a “just-in-time” delivery model and used lightweight, pre-cut systems wherever feasible to reduce manual handling and waste on-site. - High-End Architectural Finishes
With beachfront buyers expecting premium finishes, the level of detail required in set-outs, flushings, and transitions was exceptionally high. Our experienced team ensured Level 5 finishes in key areas, achieving sharp lines and flawless surfaces, even in challenging light conditions. - Irregular & Curved Ceiling Designs
The architect’s vision included several non-standard ceiling features, including curves, steps, and rakes. This demanded precise layout work and close coordination with framing teams. Our tradespeople adapted with flexible framing systems and custom templates, delivering smooth, consistent forms.
