AVA – Luxury Residential Showcase

Located on Indooroopilly’s ridge with sweeping views to the city, AVA is a $3 million luxury residence designed by Nator Constructions in partnership with SABA Projects. The home features a double-height living space with full-height glazing, a sculptural curved ceiling soffit, and elegant plastered wall planes—bringing a gallery-like sophistication to a family-scale setting.

Our comprehensive plastering package included: – Flawless curved soffits under cantilevered ceilings and clerestory windows. – Smooth wall planes that merge with ceiling surfaces, ensuring a seamless aesthetic. – Tight shadow-line detailing along the interface with premium timbers and stone veneer cladding. – Level 5 finishes throughout, especially on feature walls and vaulted ceilings, highlighting crisp architectural intent and enhancing natural light.

Project Challenges

• Curved Ceiling Geometry: The dramatic soffit beneath lofty overhead glazing demanded accurate 3D framing and multi-layer sheeting to achieve consistent curvature without taping marks.
• High-Level Access & Installation: Working at height with limited access, our team implemented bespoke scaffolding and sequencing strategies to deliver tight finishes in the double-storey void.
• Light Exposure & Finish Quality: Expansive glazing meant every imperfection would be visible. We delivered Level 5 plastering to all major living zones to eliminate texture variances and maintain clarity under daylight.
• Material Interfaces: Plaster intersected directly with stone clad walls, timber soffits, and built-in joinery. Achieving crisp shadow reveals required precision flush-setting, sanding, and stop-coat alignment—coordinated carefully with other trades to maintain finish integrity.
